hmm i realised i havent blogged properly about buddy camp
lets see what i can remember about it now
Hmm i remember i learnt a lot of stuff from the camp
About responsibility? Maybe.
I don't know what i've learnt. but the camp was like a really nice experience

like 4 one thing i got a tiny taste of what it was like being my parents
coz one of the kids i took care of had stomachache
and like i had to pay abit of extra attention to him ah
like at first just brought him to medic
medic gave him Axe Oil (i dno why they give such a brand for oil. why not double edge sword or chainsaw or jackhammer(jackhammer? O.o) ? ok nvm)
then he ok a bit
then pain again
then i took the oil
rubbed it on him
then like made him drink warm water
make him lie down a while
haha just like my mum/dad will do to me when i get stomachache
lol but his stomachache was on off on off
and on d 3rd day syahirah(medic) gave him eno
and haha he shit in his pants
lol pity that guy sia, last day
anw i just finished cleaning up the bunks when that happend
so i had to run down and, erm, assist him in cleaning his pants
me and amin (facilitator from another group)
lol.
damn fun experience!

another kid under my care also had mild fever and runny nose
brought him to medic
gave panadol
then i filled up his bottle with warm water for him to drink
then like medic told me to check on him hourly ah when he sleeps
check his temperature et all
so i stayed up all night
but i din check on him every hour lar
once a few hours
tsk so irresponsible
i was awake with razanah(my partner faci) outside the guy's bunks
writing short messages for the kids in our group
damn pathet ah
only 10 cards
we took like until the next morning
and i stayed awake all the way
razanah fell asleep at like, erm, 4? 4+?
haha
oh a lot of the facis and the organisers people joined us
to chat and all
i think thats why we din finish our work
hahaha
ok nvm
but it was fun nonetheless
anw the kid with fever

was damn funny
he woke up like at 2 am to go toilet or something
and he went out of the bunk
lucky i was outside
the facis were supposed 2 sleep near the doors, inside the bunk
so like if the kids wanna go out, they can easily find the facis
but there were like 4 doors
2 locked
and one faci slept at the unlocked door at the other end of the room
and the other two slept at a locked door
so like yeah poor alfian had to go out of the bunk by himself
ok anw that was the 1st time he was awake
2nd time was 4.30 am
the kids were suppsed 2 wake up at 5
lol
anw yeah he woke up
went to pee
then when he cleaned up
water splashed onto his pants
so he went up
took a fresh pair of pants
and went down again just to change in the toilet
i told him he could have changed in the bunk
everyone was asleep
then like he said maybe some of them only pretending to sleep
hahaha damn cute ah
he's pri 2 or 3 i think
anw later that morning
it was the last day of camp
i asked him if he drank finish the warm water
he said he din drink one bit
coz the bottle was screwed too tight
woops
hahaha
eh not my fault ah
when he woke up at 2 that time i asked him he got drink water not
he said that he did

and like i told syahirah about it or sumtin
n she was like "scolding" me
hahaha
or blaming me lar
but like not my fault ah!

anw the kids are like really nice kids ah
some of the facis claim that the kids are like rather naughty
haha ok they are to some extent la
but kids will be kids!
i kept telling myself that i was once like that
so yeah cant really scold them
i only raise my voice like when they all gather and make a lot of noise
and just refuse to shut up
but i only raise my voice because if i dont my voice would have been lost amidst the noise they were making
and i wouldn't have been able to get their attention
so yeah

ooh and like 2 days ago
friday
i went all the way 2 bukit batok 4 friday prayers
coz some of d kids wanted 2 meet me
we did nothing lar basically
but like yeah it was fun
hahaha

hmm ok i think that was the only fruitful thing i've done throughout the holidays
3 days taking care of kids
out of the 30 free days i was given
shit i need 2 spend my time more wisely.

So long, it was so long ago..
But I still got the blues for you..

Buddy Camp 07 was a joy!!

Seriously ah

Ok honestly at 1st i was kind of reluctant to go for the camp

to the extent of even dreading it, i would say

No offence to the organisers, really

Why i dreaded the camp?

Well 1stly i didn't have that many friends in Rusydi

I mean not that they're all not friendly or anything

I'm just the very slow at socialising kinda person

but yeah anyway apart from the lack of familiar faces

it was also time consuming....

as in like seriously, 4 days, 3 nites?

yeah..

and i foresaw the fatigue was gonna last me quite a while after the camp

which was true lar in the end

but anyway

those were the reasons why i dreaded the camp AT FIRST

BUT

i'm glad i signed up(and came) for the camp

ok lar i shall narrate the events in chornological order la

but forgive me if i accidentally left anything out

i tend to be quite forgetfull

but later 1 or 2 years down the road i'll remember things clearer

yeah, don't have to tell me

my mind works kinda weird

ANYWAY....

Sunday:

Ok it was the first day of camp for the facilitators and everyone minus the participants

Tried out games and etc etc

met fellow facis and the team behind the camp

very nice and funky people

but unfortunately i couldn't overnight that night

cause my dad goes 2 work before dawn next morning and my mum has this fear of being alone before dawn/after dusk so yeah

Monday:

Woke up abit later than i expected

so yeah Subuh-ed at home

and packed

i ended up overpacking, i realised at the end of the camp

but yeah nvm

anw took bus

was tempted to take taxi

coz i was late

but i didn't want to spend unneccesarily so yeah took bus

slept on the bus

almost missed the bus stop

anw bla bla

reached masjid

apparently the activities havent really started yet

so i got lazy and tried to sleep

but since got people right

not comfy to sleep ah

ok irrelevant

anw we brainstormed icebreaker games

and tried out the games

it kinda broke the ice between the facis at the same time so yay!

hmm then slacked a bit

very fun
tiring
but fun
and it was a hell of a gd experience
learnt a lot of stuff

apparently for some weird reason
some rj guy i know turned Nazi
and made the PAC block(block J is it?) his hq
i 4got who that guy is
so anw
the dream started off like narrative
like the Mortal Combat: Deadly Alliance intro movie
with narration and such camera angles
then it properly started
at the 'alley' under the pac there
d toilets place
saw wee hao
he looked gloomy
and i saw some guy reciting or writing a Nazi-worshipping/propaganda poem or something
while going into the handicap toilet

ok anw i walked out the alley
via the exit nearer to the sports hall
ie nearer to the girls toilet
and i u-turned
and immediately i saw the mini canteen
shit man my geography sucks

the minicanteen that i saw
was like as if i saw it from 7 11 like that
anw i walked through the 'grass patch' (told ya i saw it frm 7 11)
and like yeah headed 4 d mini staircase to go to the main canteen
passed by a class ah
and heard some particular voices
or a particular voice rather
but it was all hazy, d dtails
maybe bcoz i din wear glasses when i slept!! :D

anw walk2 to the canteen
it seemed to be somewhat a cross btwn rg and ri canteen though
and joined syimah and narishka makan
and i bought a grape flavoured Yan Yan biscuit
and i paid using keropok shaped like coins

then like yeah they'll pause momentarily

ooh then that person took d lift
and me n syimah walked away
towards the canteen
and she was suannninnggg me all the way to the canteen
then i saw my pri school fren
then i rmbr slipping n falling
n d rest was hazy
